THE PURPOSE OF THE LOCAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (LAC)

Promote the general welfare of special needs students by serving as an advisory and advocacy group

Safeguard the human and legal rights of all special needs children, parents and guardians.

Educate and aid parents and their children according to their needs, and to coordinate and promote such educational activities.

Promote better communication between parents and the local education staff.
